About Maven

  • Banking & Financial Services

Maven is a proprietary trading organisation formed in 2011. We employ the most talented traders, developers and engineers in the market, executing a diverse range of strategies across global equities and derivatives.

Maven has a culture that is relaxed and informal but highly rewarding of strong performance; there’s no dress code, plenty of free food and regular social events. We have offices in London, Hong Kong and New York and will be opening a new Chicago office as part of our plans to expand our coverage of derivatives markets. We are proud to be one of the few growth stories in a highly competitive and technology-focused industry.

As a Maven graduate you will complete an intensive training program run by our most talented traders including classroom sessions, mock trading, project work and programming course. We will teach you the skills to trade with the latest tools available. You will be executing live trades within 3 months of starting and rotating through a number of desks before you find your ideal team. We aim to give you responsibility for the profit and loss of your book as soon as you are ready.

We are looking for applicants from any quantitative background with a competitive nature, a strong understanding of probability and statistics, and an interest in financial markets. Some key requirements for eligible candidates include outstanding numeracy, attention to detail and
the ability to solve problems quickly and creatively.

  • Early mornings, quite periods interspersed with busy so not as regular flow compared to other jobs.
