7.7
7.7 rating for Recruitment, based on 29 reviews
Please describe the interview process and assessments.
As a grad, the hiring process was really quick and supportive. There was a lot of communication from the recruitment team and expectations were set early. After receiving the offer, HR was very easy to communicate with and very responsive too
Consultant, Sydney
It is a developing and ever changing process but there is usually: 1. send application 2. coffee catch/interview 3. assessment centre 4. interview 5. offer
Graduate, Sydney
Smooth interview with a Senior Consultant (Not HR), felt comfortable calling and talking to every employee early on. Senior leadership was very approachable.

Positive overall.

The interview process is quite relaxed and gives you a flavour of the company's culture. It include 1:1 interviews which are called "coffee catch ups". It also has an assessment centre where you work i teams to solve a case study.
Graduate, Melbourne
Various video interviews, in person interviews, group assessments, written assessments
Senior Consultant, Brisbane
The interview process was quite easy and informal, overall a positive experience. However, onboarding could be improved as most new hires don't generally have laptops or their accounts set up for the first week.
Manager, Brisbane
The process was very straight forward and streamlined. I was hired during Covid - 19 so it could have been quite painful but it was a very smooth process. I did an online assessment and had 3 interview with different people before I went into the office for a final interview.
Senior Consultant, Sydney
efficient and thorough.
Graduate, Canberra
Online forms, online interview before an assessment centre in person at the office

Having been through the graduate job application process for many employers while at uni, Protiviti's was not one of the standouts. There was a lack of clarity over the process in both the online/written comms and also through assessors. Further to this, having accepted an offer, there is little to no contact with Protiviti. This is something that could be improved.

The individual interviews were great as well as the group interviews. The last interview with two directors was intimidating but overall a good experience.
Graduate, Melbourne
It was a very streamlined process. I was hired during covid so it was several interviews and an online assessment.
Consultant, Sydney
The process I went through was a bit of a mess, but everything worked out in the end.
Graduate, Canberra
unsure as i was moved from Canberra to Melbourne as an intern so skipped all of the grad process.

It was over 2 years ago so I cannot remember specifics, however the questions were centered around my experience and education so far. What stood out to me was being asked why I chose the subjects and education I did rather than just 'what' I studied. There were also some questions about some 'role-play'. Which I did not understand why I was asked at the time - but now that I have been working in the role I understand that these were potential scenarios faced in corporate

Do you have any specific tips and advice for candidates applying to your company? How would you recommend they best prepare?
Enthusiasm and communication. Both are really important, and admirable skills/qualities by everyone in the office and the company. Our Managing Directors love candidates that are passionate and show genuine interest in the whole process. Communication is important overall, however, in consulting, it is integral, therefore demonstrating communication skills as early as possible is very important

just be confident as they are not expecting the correct answer but rather want to know more about your thought process.
Graduate, Sydney
Just learn about Professional Services and what that truly means. For a graduate, showcase your ability to learn and problem-solve without guidance.
Graduate, Brisbane
Have a clear idea of what you want to get out of the company and be open to the opportunities presented - even if clients/work etc. is not what you thought you would like, it all positively contributes to the experience.
Graduate, Brisbane
Learn about the company's values and have one in mind that resonates with you in case you are asked. Make sure you are confident and take the time to just have a conversation with your interviewer.

Be yourself!
Senior Consultant, Melbourne
Don't memorise answers or answer how you think you should. The directors and interviewers are genuinely interested in you and will ask about you and follow up with your answers. It's not about 'passing' but rather if seeing you would be happy at the company and if it would be an organisational fit.
Senior Consultant, Sydney
to be their authentic selves.
Graduate, Canberra
be yourself
Graduate, Canberra
Best prepare would be to relax and say the truth. Other applicates were visibly anxious, one was entitling and the other was arrogant. I'd say be truthful, humble and kind. Don't think of it as the be all and end all. If you do then you will be anxious and automatically put yourself a step or two back in the process. Focus on what you have to contribute and what you have to learn.
Graduate, Melbourne
Be yourself, there is no point on being a facade. No one is judging you, they want you to be happy as well in the role. Also be clear on goals or at least a direction you are interested in/field. This will help place your in the right solution and socialise you with projects you may be interested in
Consultant, Sydney
Ask questions while it is still expeted of you.

practice working with others on case studies. learn the lingo and you'll do fine.
Graduate, Canberra
To be themselves which will help the conversation flow naturally. Be prepared to provide scenarios where you show certain qualities to ensure you actually possess these qualities.

just be confident and practice beforehand
