Culture at Schneider Electric Australia & New Zealand

8.8
8.8 rating for Culture, based on 21 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
The culture in the office is always inviting with people socialising amongst their respective teams and also other teams. Normally after hours culture is based around either work events that happen or catch ups within separate teams.

Everyone in the company is very nice. Does not fit the stereotype of a lifeless corporate MNC. I am very happy with the team structures.

The company culture is very positive as Schneider believes in empowering people to do successfully. My colleagues are all very friendly and I have yet to see any interpersonal conflict occur in my 2 years of tenure. The company size is large, however structured flat, so everyone regardless of role is very reachable but also approachable.

All graduates go in on Wednesday and we get lunch. Every few weeks the graduates organize a dinner.

All staff members are very helpful and approachable, regularly have lunch with people of varying experience and responsibilities ranging from VPs to other graduates and interns.

In factory office - friendly and approachable, not much outside hours contact. In Melbourne office - also friendly and approachable, casual catch ups with coworkers after hours.

Great relationship with graduates, regular graduate catch ups, monthly food and drinks after work for the whole Macquarie park office, understanding for overtime work, team group chats that help us get to know everyone on a deeper level.

Everyone in the office is really nice and friendly, however the office doesn't get as many people coming in as it used to (pre-covid).

Company culture is excellent, working environment is second to none!

Office culture is professional but still friendly and approachable. Timings are quite flexible and there are no expectations to reply/stay active after hours and to work overtime - especially in early careers. The flat organisational structure makes it easier to seek support from upper management directly. Everyone is open to a quick chat and coffee catch ups are quite common.

There aren't many opportunities for in-person networking where I am located. Most work is done online so it's harder to build rapport with colleagues.

Company culture is dependent on the area you are in. For the most parts I was surrounded in a humanised environment, that involved lots of collaboration and interaction between team members. Other areas of business seem different to me, less interactive and more reserved. Out of hours, not too much happens - there isn't an expectation for you to work additional hours since we are graduates.

Among colleagues, the culture was friendly and encouraging networking. After hours we all go home.

Work culture in Schneider Electric is great! Everyone is welcoming and eager to help. Everyone is authentic. It’s so easy to ask for help. Whenever you need help you can just send a teams message and jump on a call to discuss. As a global company, I would say it’s the most flat organisation. There’s vertically only 7 levels between a graduate to the CEO. There’s plenty of social activities in the office such as morning teas, team lunches, etc) and you can always organise after work catch-ups/dinners with your fellow graduates. The company is pro-growth, so there’s opportunities to develop your skill sets by working on a side project while completing your main duties in your role.
